The Global Oncology Challenge in Artificial Intelligence was an ambitious program meant to bring together the every day challenges that business leaders around the world face together with the application of AI to solve those challenges.
In the end, they wanted to make people aware of the possibilities of AI and show that big problems can be solved right here.
We designed a program and sprint process that started in the Spring and concluded in the Fall.
The program launched with an event called: “Everything you ever wanted to know about AI…but were afraid to ask.” With the momentum of the launch event, the GO Chai competition was launched.
We custom designed a crowd platform in which ideas were submitted and teams were formed.
9 finalists were selected and each team was given a sprint guide, sprint tools and sprint coaching. Each week teams were given a new mission to complete, including video tutorials, examples, tools, templates and an appointment with their AI Coach.
Engagement: Over 500 colleagues registered, representing dozens of countries and dozens of functions.
Participation: Over 100 teams, from 25+ countries, and from more than a dozen functions and professional disciplines submitted concepts.
Results: The winning teams received coaching, funding and their concepts are being developed by the global organizations. The company is starting to see REAL artificial intelligence projects happening.
